Security Alarm Systems:
Security Systems - Burglar Alarm Systems -
Intrusion Systems - Perimeter Alarms
As a leading dealer in Southern Ohio, Greystone Systems, Inc., s,
leases or
sells, installs, services, and maintains,
as well as integrates or
upgrades,
complete security systems,
security alarms, burglar alarms,
controls, fire alarms, and
related systems.
Key to the success of these
security alarm systems
(including fire alarms) is
that they are remotely monitored 24 hours
a day, 365 days a year, by an
incredibly sophisticated monitoring operation. It is inspected and
certified by U.L. (Underwriters' Laboratories), F.M. (Factory
Mutual), and IQ, and so it meets extremely high standards.
When an element of a
security system is triggered, such as a switch or contact on a
window when the security system is armed (someone opens the window;
the contact sends a signal) a signal is sent to the horn or siren
you hear when an alarm goes off. More importantly, the signal is
immediately sent to our remote monitoring station or central
station.

Professional, trained security operators receive the alarm
signal and, depending upon the nature of it and security
instructions for that client, dispatch the police or sheriff, fire
department, or rescue squad, as well as contacting the alarm owner
or other designated contacts.
How does the alarm signal
get to our monitoring station professionals? Greystone uses a
variety of modern technologies most often in combination to ensure
that the signal is extremely fast and arrives for immediate action
by our central station. Because this signal transmission is
critical, the very best setup for the central station is also
critical, and we believe our central station is unmatched. See the
short video below that details this setup: |

While we detail
security alarms here and
the systems we provide, what is a security system? It is the totality of
physical structures, devices, controls, and elements that play some part
in providing or contributing to what can be defined as security. Whether
the threat is fire, an unwanted intrusion, robbery, physical assault, an
unauthorized person on the premises, or another type of threat, all the
elements that would come into play to provide an advantage to react to
or counter the threat could be considered to be part of a "security
system".
These range from the physical, a barrier of
some type such as a door or a gate or a lock, to the electronic: fire
sensors, glass break detectors, switches, communicators, CCTV monitors,
monitoring of these devices, transmission of signals and data, response
by local authorities (fire, police, rescue, etc.). The system is the
totality. Greystone configures s the application of these systems to your
unique circumstances, and supplies equipment, services, and systems
(sub-systems) to enhance your security and provide for the many
advantages that come as a result. Alarm systems are basic to security.
In addition, please see details on other elements than can be combined
with alarm functions and provide added security, management and control
benefits (page links at left - Access Control, CCTV, Telephones, etc.).

The most basic of all security concepts, going back to the beginning of
man living in groups, is perimeter control. If you don't control your
perimeter, your border, your space, you don't have control and you don't
have security. A security alarm system can provide detection and alarm
functions of a perimeter, whether this is defined as property lines or a
physical structure. It is basic.
